First Night in Italy ...

So we finally made it Salerno at about 1900.  Our room was once the habitation of a nun once, as we are staying in a convent that was converted into a hostile. The room is very simple with no decor unless you want to count the white drapes that cover the enormous window.

While we waited for dinner we drank a glass of red wine while listening to the locals chattering outside and scooters zipping by.

The short drive from the Salerno Train Depot to our hostile had us in love with Salerno within minutes.  Our cab driver zipped through street lights and into the tiniest ally ways.  People were tucking in their stomachs to let us pass through.

Now we sit in a beautiful courtyard waiting for our traditional multi-course dinner to begin. OMG!  It's finally hit me, I'm on my honeymoon and it's in Italy and I'm so glad I can share it with my friends in this way.  We will try and keep you all updated as often as possible.

Ciao!
